Retired teacher nominee for SBTC secretary

Gregg Simmons, pastor of Church at the Cross in Grapevine, said he plans to nominate Pat Anderson as secretary of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention during the SBTC annual meeting Oct. 26-27 in Lubbock.

Simmons, a former SBTC vice president, said Anderson provides “a wonderful role model for Texas Baptist women of a devoted wife, mother, school teacher and servant of Christ.” Pat and her husband, Paul Anderson, live in Borger where Paul serves as pastor of Keeler Baptist Church.

Professionally, she taught in public schools for 25 years. After retiring as a teacher, she has worked as a church secretary for the past seven years.
