EMPOWER EVANGELISM CONFERENCE: Hispanic Session features Garland rally, Euless events




EULESS?The Hispanic Session of the Empower Evangelism Conference will begin with a rally from 6 ? 8:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Primera Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida in Garland and move across the metroplex Feb. 6 with morning workshops and an afternoon conference in the Campus West Building at First Baptist Church of Euless.

Mike Gonzales, SBTC Hispanic Initiative director, will preside both days and Herman Ríos, director of the Language Evangelism and Stewardship Department at the Florida Baptist Convention, will preach Feb. 5 and 6.

Pepe Franco, the Singing Evangelists and the New Life Praise Group will provide music during the sessions.

Participants may choose from among six workshops during the Monday morning session. They are: “Growing an Evangelistic Church”; “Growing a Healthy Church”; “The Strategy of the EvangeCube”; “Growing a Church through Cells”; “Evangelizing Children”; and “Breaking the Da Vinci Code.”

“We are praying that God would light a fire of compassion among those who attend the Hispanic Session of the Empower Evangelism Conference to share the gospel with the lost, especially to Hispanics who have yet to hear the good news of grace found in Jesus Christ alone,” Gonzales said.

During the afternoon session Feb. 6, in addition to a sermon by Rios, participants will hear an evangelistic challenge from SBTC Evangelism Director Don Cass and a testimony from Carlos Navarro, pastor of Iglesia Bautista West Brownsville.

Primera Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida is located at 2000 S. First St. in Garland. The Campus West Building is directly west of the main campus of FBC Euless, 1000 W. Airport Freeway in Euless.
